Summary
Fall is here and the wind blows. The Leaf Man
has left without travel plans. Has he gone east or west? Nobody is sure. The
Leaf Man just follows the wind's path. He passes over the chickens, cows, apple
and pear trees, mice, and the fish in the lakes.
Comments
The clever illustrations of this book are
collages made from die-cut paper and photocopies of actual fall leaves.
Children go crazy trying to figure out the illustrations' patterns. Is this a
squirrel or a bunny? This book definitely enhances children's imagination and
is perfect for reading out loud in a group setting. Parents, teachers, and
librarians can have discussions with the kids about what they see in each page.
